Foundation Tactical provides firearms and self-defense instruction to responsible citizens and public servants in the Quad Cities (Iowa/Illinois) area and throughout the Midwest. The mission of Foundation Tactical is to build more prepared and confident individuals using proven methods of instruction.

Our name is rooted in the idea that the ability to successfully prevent, deter, and if needed defend against violent acts toward yourself and your loved ones is part of the foundation of a successful life and being a responsible citizen.

The diverse and accomplished background, training, and experience of its founder allows for practical, realistic, and tailored training set in the context of modern society.

Foundation Tactical provides training throughout America’s heartland and is motivated by the idea that all responsible citizens deserve access to a skill set that will allow them to be prepared if they so choose. With the decision to utilize weapons comes a heavy burden of responsibility that they are used with precision and safety. It would be a great honor to be able to help you start that journey or continue down the path you are on. There is also a great burden of responsibility that comes with the instruction of these life-saving skills, one that is not taken lightly by this company.

Foundation Tactical, LLC. was formed by Robert (Bob) Welch, a former Federal Agent and full-time tactical team member, current competitive shooter, Police Officer and Full-Time Police Trainer, Firearms Instructor, and SWAT team member. Bob is also a proud U.S. Army veteran. After years of high-level training and operations, Foundation Tactical was formed to give back to the citizenry while providing for a more secure (and polite) society.
